OUR BREATHWORK AND SOUND BATH FUNDRAISING EVENTS - EVERY OTHER MONTH OR EVERY QUARTER WORTHY BEYOND PURPOSE HOLDS A COMMUNITY BUILDING, TRANSFORMATIONAL BREATHWORK AND SOUND BATH EVENT. THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO ALLOW THE ADULTS TO DO THEIR INNER WORK. IT STARTS WITH US ABOUT 80 ATTENDEES ARRIVE, LEARN WHAT WBP IS UP TO AND SOME ACCOMPLISHMENTS, AND CONNECT WITH ONE ANOTHER. WE THEN DIVE INTO OUR PERSONAL JOURNEY. WE START WITH MOVEMENT AND MEDITATION AND MAKE OUR WAY TO BREATHWORK AND SOUND BATH. THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO BUILD OUR COMMUNITY AND ALLOW THE ADULTS TO HAVE SOME MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION AS WELL. ALL FACILITATORS ARE PRO BONO AND EVERY DOLLAR RAISED GOES INTO THE ORGANIZATION. THE EXPENSES ARE FOR THE SPACE RENTAL, TEAS AND OTHER SMALL DECORATIVE THINGS.

OUR PROGRAMS - WORTHY BEYOND PURPOSE BRINGS MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION PRACTICES TO KIDS IN MULTIPLE SCHOOLS / AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS ACROSS LA. THERE IS A WEEKLY, 10-MONTH MINDFULNESS CURRICULUM THAT IS TAUGHT ONCE A WEEK FOR 30 MINUTES TO AN HOUR EACH WEEK. THE CURRICULUM CONSISTS OF CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT, MINDFULNESS BASICS, 5 SENSES, GRATITUDE, JOY, CHANGE, KINDNESS, EMOTIONS, FORGIVENESS, AND AFFIRMATIONS. THE TOOLS INCLUDE MEDITATION, BREATHWORK, JOURNALING, YOGA, ART, QIGONG, TAPPING, SUPERHERO POSES, AND MORE. WE LEARN ABOUT OUR BRAIN AND WHERE AND WHY EMOTIONS HAPPEN. A TRUE UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IS HAPPENING INSIDE OUR BODIES AND OUR MINDS AND HOW TO BEST STAY AHEAD OF THE EMOTIONS. WE LEARN TO WORK WITH THE MIND AND SENSATIONS AND HOW TO NOT PUSH THEM DOWN. THE STUDENTS MAKE A MINDFULNESS TOOLKIT AT THE START OF THE SCHOOL YEAR, AND BY YEARS END, THEIR TOOLKIT IS FULL AND THEY GET TO TAKE IT WITH THEM.
