DADDY & DEUCE TOY + COAT DRIVE - PROVIDES COATS, GLOVES, HATS, SHOES, PERSONAL ITEMS, BEANIES & CAPS, TOYS, BIKES, SCOOTERS, HELMETS, AMAZON TABLETS, BOOKS, GAMES, TO THE CHILDREN & YOUTH AT COVENANT HOUSE, GOOD SHEPPARD, CORNERSTONE CENTER FOR EARLY LEARNING, AND WOHL RECREATION CENTER. THIS PROGRAM ALSO SPONSORS SMALL PROJECTS FOR THE ORGANIZATIONS THAT THE FOUNDATION ASSISTS EACH YEAR.
GENERAL ASSISTANCE IN POSITIVELY IMPACTING AND INSPIRING CHILDREN, TEENS AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH EDUCATION, ATHLETICS AND OTHER INDIVIDUAL & FAMILY BUILDING INITIATIVES,AND TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO STRIVE TO FULFILL THEIR DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE FOLLOWING: (I) ZERO LIMITS SCHOLARSHIPS - FOUNDATION IS COMMITTED TO EMPOWERING AND SUPPORTING YOUTH RESIDING IN THE ST. LOUIS METROPOLITAN AREA TO PURSUE THEIR DREAMS AND IMPACT THE WORLD IN POSITIVE WAYS. ATTENDING A POST- SECONDARY INSTITUTION OFTEN PROVIDES FINANCIAL HARDSHIP FOR MANY FAMILIES. THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS INTENDED TO HELP STUDENTS FINANCE AND REALIZE THEIR EDUCATIONAL DREAMS AND PURSUITS. (II) BASKETBALL CAMP - THE FOUNDATION SPONSORS A FREE SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP FEATURING CHARACTER BUILDING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND BASKETBALL TRAINING FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN THE AREA. AT THE CAMP, OVER 100 CHILDREN LEARN SOME OF LIFES MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS: TEAMWORK, LEADERSHIP, AND MAKING GOOD CHOICES ON AND OFF THE COURT.
LEADERSHIP PROGRAM AT WOHLS RECREATION CENTER - DURING THE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM, ROLE MODELS WHO ARE MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT IN OUR COMMUNITY ADDRESS THE CAMP PARTICIPANTS. USING BASKETBALL AS AN ENTRY POINT, JAYSON BELIEVES THAT THE PARTICIPANTS INTERACTIONS WITH HIM AND OTHERS WILL GUIDE THEM TO DISCOVER AND UNDERSTAND THEIR LIFES PURPOSE WHICH WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE IN ACHIEVING THEIR TRUE POTENTIAL.
NEW BACKPACK & NEW SCHOOL SUPPLIES COLLECTION - THIS ANNUAL COLLECTION TAKES PLACE EACH SUMMER TO PROVIDE CRITCAL SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO CHILDREN. EACH YEAR, THIS EVENT EMPHASIZES OUR COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION THROUGH PROVIDING CHILDREN THE BASIC TOOLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE CLASSROOM, AS WELL AS RELIEVING PARENTS OF THE FINANCIAL STRESS ASSOCIATED WITH THE BEGINNING OF THE SCHOOL YEAR.
