THE MISSION IS TO BUILD YOUNG GIRLS INTO STRONG AND EMPOWERED WOMEN TO OVERCOME BARRIERS LEADING TO A SUCCESSFUL AND PRODUCTIVE LIFE. WE AIM TO MOTIVATE AND SUPPORT OUR GIRLS TO GROW INTO YOUNG WOMEN WHO CAN GAIN CONFIDENCE THROUGH WORKSHOPS, LIFE-SKILL TRAINING, AND MENTORSHIP.

ON JUNE 18TH, THE GIRLS PARTICIPATED IN GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF CENTRAL FLORIDA.
TRUNK OR TREAT - THIS EVENT WAS A COMMUNITY GIVE-BACK EVENT THAT WAS NEW FOR EGI. THE GIRLS COLLECTIVELY BROUGHT CANDY TO DISTRIBUTE TO THE INDIVIDUALS THAT WERE IN ATTENDANCE. IN ADDITION, WE WERE ABLE TO DISTRIBUTE LITERATURE TO THE ORGANIZATION THAT WOULD EXTEND THE OPPORTUNITY FOR GIRLS WITHIN THE AGE RANGE TO ATTEND THE UPCOMING PROGRAMS. THIS EVENT WAS ON OCTOBER 31, 2022.
ON OCTOBER 22ND, THE ORGANIZATION HELD THE FIRST ANNUAL AWARDS CEREMONY; THE EVENT WAS ONE TO REWARD AND RECOGNIZE THE GIRLS FOR THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE EVENT ALLOWED FAMILIES, FRIENDS, BUSINESS COMMUNITY PARTNERS, AND OTHER GUESTS TO CELEBRATE THE GIRLS. SEVERAL GIRLS IN THE ORGANIZATION WERE RECOGNIZED IN SPECIFIC CATEGORIES, WHICH INCLUDED EMPOWERED GIRL OF THE YEAR ($500 MONETARY ACKNOWLEDGMENT); SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE AWARD ($350.00); COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP AWARD ($250); COMMUNITY ADVOCATE AWARD ($200); RESILIENT AWARD ($150). IN ADDITION, EACH GIRL IN THE PROGRAM WAS ACKNOWLEDGED WITH A $25.00 GIFT CARD AND CERTIFICATE FOR THEIR OVERALL PARTICIPATION.
BREAST CANCER WALK- THE ORGANIZATION PARTICIPATED IN THE MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER WALK (OCTOBER 29, 2022). THIS WAS A WAY FOR THE GIRLS TO SHOW SUPPORT AND GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY.
