THE BLUEGRASS GOLF FOUNDATION, INC. ("FOUNDATION") PROMOTES AND ADVANCES THE GAME OF GOLF AS AN AMATEUR SPORT THROUGH TOURNAMENTS AND SPECIAL EVENTS. EDUCATION ABOUT OPTIONS AND EXPECTATIONS FOR INTERCOLLEGIATE COMPETITION IS PROVIDED PUBLICLY. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS PROGRAMS DEDICATED TO YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROMOTING GOLF AND ITS LIFE ENHANCING VALUES. PLANNED ACTIVITIES INCLUDE AN EXTENSIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR JUNIOR GOLFERS WITH EDUCATION PROGRAMS AVAILABLE PERIODICALLY.

THE BLUEGRASS GOLF TOUR CONDUCTED THE CULLAN BROWN INVITATIONAL TO GENERATE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CULLAN BROWN MEMORIAL WEST KENTUCKY JUNIOR GOLF DEVELOPMENT FUND. A TOTAL OF NEARLY $4,169 IN CONTRIBUTIONS WERE GENERATED PAID TO THE MEMORIAL FUND WITH A DIRECT CHECK FROM THE BLUEGRASS GOLF FOUNDATION.


THE EDDIE MONTGOMERY BATTLE OF THE SEXES MATCHES A TEAM OF BOYS AGAINST A TEAM OF GIRLS WITH EACH PLAYER COLLECTING DONATIONS TO SUPPORT PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT. A TOTAL OF $4,060 IN CONTRIBUTIONS WERE SPLIT BETWEEN ST. JUDE AND KOSAIR CHARITIES AS A RESULT OF THIS EVENT.


A TOTAL OF 76 ADDITIONAL TOURNAMENTS CONSISTING OF OPEN OR INVITATIONAL EVENTS WERE CONDUCTED IN 2022. EACH EVENT CONTRIBUTES TO EXPENSES BASED ON TOURNAMENT EXPENSES TO HOST FACILITIES, AWARDS, PROCESSING FEES, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, TRAVEL EXPENSES, AND OTHER EVENT RELATED EXPENSES.


BLUEGRASS CUP IS A FOUNDATION EVENT THAT TAKES PLACE AT THE END OF THE SEASON SUPPORTED BY DONATIONS. THE PARTICIPANTS EARN THEIR SPOT IN THE BLUEGRASS CUP THROUGH THEIR PLACEMENT ON THE PLAYER OF THE YEAR LISTS IN PRIMARY AGE DIVISIONS. A BANQUET RECOGNIZING THE PLAYERS OF THE YEAR AND STEWART GREGORY AWARD WINNERS TAKES PLACE DURING THIS EVENT. PROCEEDS FROM THE EVENT SUPPORT THE PLAYING FOR MASON FOUNDATION WITH A CHECK OF $1,337 PRESENTED TO THE CHARITY PARTNER.
