PURPOSE: THE PURPOSE OF OUR PROGRAMS IS TO CREATE MORE CONSCIOUS COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE ART AND PRACTICES OF WRITING IN COMMUNITY, EXPLORING ALL ASPECTS OF FEMININE EXPRESSION. WE OFFER 1) REGULAR WRITING CIRCLES FOR WOMEN AND OTHER MARGINALIZED COMMUNITY MEMBERS, LED BY LOCAL AND NATIONAL FACILITATORS; 2) ART EXHIBITS FEATURING REGIONAL FEMALE ARTISTS; 3) PUBLICATIONS, INCLUDING AN ANNUAL ANTHOLOGY OF WOMEN WRITERS AND ARTISTS FROM THE REGION, WITH NATIONAL DISTRIBUTION; 4) SPECIAL EVENTS HIGHLIGHTING REGIONAL WOMEN WRITERS, ARTISTS, AND LEADERS; 5) INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS; 6) LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR REGIONAL WOMEN LEADERS, ALSO LED BY LOCAL AND NATIONAL FACILITATORS; 7) AN ANNUAL BOOK FESTIVAL CELEBRATING REGIONAL FEMALE AND OTHER MARGINALIZED AUTHORS.
