RESEARCH - CONDUCTED EXTENSIVE LEGAL AND FACTUAL RESEARCH INTO HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES AND OTHER VIOLATIONS OF INTERNATIONAL LAW IN AREAS OF ARMED CONFLICT AND OCCUPATION. DESK AND FIELD RESEARCH WERE CONDUCTED, RESEARCH MEMORANDUMS AND RECORDS WERE PRODUCED, AND CONCLUSIONS WERE DRAWN ABOUT THE PROSPECT FOR LEGAL SERVICES AND ACTION. THE NUMBER OF PERSONS WHO STAND TO BENEFIT IN THE COMING YEARS FROM THIS RESEARCH IS APPROXIMATELY 25,000 DIRECT BENEFICIARIES AND MANY MORE TENS OF THOUSANDS WHO MAY INDIRECTLY BENEFIT.
