THE SUMMIT HEALTH FOUNDATION IS A COMMUNITY-BASED, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT EXISTS TO INSPIRE GIFTS AND GRANTS FROM INDIVIDUALS, FOUNDATIONS, CORPORATIONS AND OTHER ENTITIES TO SUPPORT THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF PEOPLE IN FRANKLIN COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA.

SUMMIT HEALTH FOUNDATION IS A COMMUNITY-BASED, NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT EXISTS TO INSPIRE GIFTS AND GRANTS FROM INDIVIDUALS, FOUNDATIONS, CORPORATIONS, AND OTHER ENTITIES TO SUPPORT THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF PEOPLE IN FRANKLIN COUNTY AND COMMUNITIES IN ADJACENT CUMBERLAND COUNTY. THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES AND SEEKS GRANT FUNDING ON BEHALF OF WELLSPAN SUMMIT HEALTH, WAYNESBORO HOSPITAL, CHAMBERSBURG HOSPITAL, SUMMIT PHYSICIAN SERVICES AND THEIR AFFILIATES. DONATIONS MADE TO THE SUMMIT HEALTH FOUNDATION MAY BE DIRECTED, AS FOLLOWS:WHERE NEEDED MOST: SUPPORTS ONGOING NEEDS THAT BENEFIT WELLSPANS HEALTH AND WELLNESS INITIATIVES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY AND AT WELLSPAN CHAMBERSBURG HOSPITAL AND WELLSPAN WAYNESBORO HOSPITAL.PATIENT SUPPORT FUND: CONNECTS PATIENTS WITH RESOURCES SUCH AS TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WELLSPAN LOCATIONS, MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, PRESCRIPTIONS, OR OTHER NEEDS RELATED TO FACILITATING DISCHARGE FROM WELLSPAN CHAMBERSBURG OR WELLSPAN WAYNESBORO HOSPITAL.ONCOLOGY BRIDGE FUND (CANCER PATIENT SUPPORT FUND): A PATIENT SUPPORT FUND (AS DESCRIBED ABOVE) THAT IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR CANCER CARE PATIENTS.MEDICAL ACADEMIC FUND: ENSURES ACCESS TO CARE BY PROVIDING A STEADY PIPELINE OF PROVIDERS THROUGH STIPENDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO FRANKLIN COUNTY RESIDENTS WHO ARE ENROLLED IN MEDICAL SCHOOL AND HAVE COMMITTED TO WORKING IN FRANKLIN COUNTY UPON GRADUATION.KRISTIN RUNYON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND: SUPPORTS RN NURSING EDUCATION TO BENEFIT AND ENHANCE THE PROFESSIONAL SKILLS OF NURSES SERVING FRANKLIN COUNTY.REACH OUT AND READ: PROMOTES INCREASED LITERACY RATES BY PROVIDING AN AGE-APPROPRIATE BOOK FOR CHILDREN TO TAKE HOME WITH THEM FOLLOWING THEIR WELLNESS VISITS.SEE WELLSPAN HEALTH - 2021 COMMUNITY BENEFIT REPORT LOCATED AT HTTPS://WWW.WELLSPAN.ORG/ABOUT/WELLSPAN-IN-THE-COMMUNITY/2021-COMMUNITY-BENEFIT-REPORT/
