THE MISSION OF NATIONAL RIDING STABLES HORSE RESCUE IS TO SAVE DISTRESSED HORSES FROM ABUSE, NEGLECT, AND SLAUGHTER, AND TO PLACE THEM IN RETIREMENT HOMES AS TRAIL OR COMPANION HORSES.

THE ORGANIZATION RESCUED TWO HORSES FROM NEGLECT, AND ADOPTED OUT TWO PREVIOUSLY-RESCUED HORSES INTO PERMANENT RETIREMENT HOMES. THE ORGANIZATION CURRENTLY PROVIDES A SAFE HARBOR RETIREMENT HOME FOR 24 HORSES RESCUED FROM NEGLECT, ABUSE, AND SLAUGHTER. THE ORGANIZATION ACHIEVED GUIDESTAR'S GOLD SEAL OF TRANSPARENCY, IS A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN HORSE COUNCIL AND THE UNWANTED HORSE COALITION, AND PARTICIPATES IN THE HOME FOR EVERY HORSE PROGRAM.
