SHATHAL INTERNATIONAL IS A LAY OPERATED SUPPORTING MINISTRY OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH. THE ORGANIZATION IS ORGANIZED TO PUBLISH RELIGIOUS, EDUCATIONAL, AND SCIENTIFIC MATERIALS, PROMOTE EDUCATION AND ENGAGE IN MISSION ACTIVITIES.

THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS A CHILDREN'S HOME AND A SCHOOL IN THAILAND CALLED SUNSHINE ORCHARD. WE SUPPORTED THREE DIFFERENT PROJECTS THIS YEAR, ESSENTIALLY THE SAME AS LAST YEAR, THOUGH THERE WAS LESS ACTIVITY WITH THE HMONG PROJECT, AND A BUILDING PROJECT AT THE SCHOOL IN THAILAND WITH SEVERAL CLASSROOMS BEING ADDED. 1) A SCHOOL ON THE BOARD OF THAILAND/BURMA WHICH SUPPLIES FOOD, EDUCATION, AND OTHER BASIC NEEDS FOR ABOUT 180 CHILDREN 2) A CHILDRENS HOME FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 CHILDREN IN THE SAME LOCATION AS ABOVE. 3) WE FUNDED THE COST TO PRODUCE AND DISTRIBUTE ORIGINAL RELIGIOUS LITERATURE IN THE HMONG LANGUAGE.
