THE WYPCA IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION. THE ORGANIZATIONS PRIMARY FOCUS IS ON ISSUES RELATING TO HEALTH CARE ACCESS AND EXPANSION. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS WITH COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS, HEALTH CARE FOR THE HOMELESS PROGRAMS, AND MIGRANT HEALTH PROGRAMS AS WELL AS OTHER PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS. THE STATED MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO SUPPORT AND EXPAND ACCESS TO QUALITY HEALTH SERVICES IN COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT WYOMING IN ORDER TO BUILD HEALTHIER COMMUNITIES. THE ORGANIZATION CARRIES OUT ITS MISSION BY PROVIDING TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE OPPORTUNITIES TO ITS MEMBER HEALTH CENTERS WHILE ENGAGING IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES TO EXPAND ACCESS.

THE WYOMING PRIMARY CARE ASSOCIATION, IN COMPLIANCE WITH ITS COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE US BUREAU OF PRIMARY HEALTHCARE (BPHC) A SUB ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED THROUGHT THE US HEALTH RESOURCES SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (HRSA). THIS ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS EXISTING AND NEW COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS THROUGH A VARIETY OF ONSITE AND ELECTRONIC RESOURCES AND SERVICS.
