STEM CAREERS FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED AS A MEANS TO FOSTER IN YOUTH A DESIRE TO STUDY SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS (STEM) AND TO PROVIDE SUCH INDIVIDUALS WITH THE FINANCIAL MEANS AND SUPPORT TO PURSUE A CAREER IN THESE FIELDS. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS PURPOSE, THE APPLICANT INTENDS TO PROVIDE (I) COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS STUDYING STEM FIELDS; (II) FINANCIAL SUPPORT IN THE FORM OF GRANTS TO STEM TEACHERS FOR INNOVATIVE PROJECTS THAT ENGAGE AND ENCOURAGE PRE-COLLEGE AGE STUDENTS TO STUDY STEM FIELDS; AND (III) GRANTS TO U.S. CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE ACTIVITIES ARE ALIGNED WITH THE ORGANIZATIONS EXEMPT PURPOSES.

PROVIDED SUPPORT TO CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY LONG BEACH 49ER FOUNDATION FOR THE DOROTHY BENVENISTE BEACH ENGINEERING STUDENT SUCCESS TEAM (BESST) SCHOLARSHIP. "THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE CONTINUING EDUCATION OF ENGINEERING STUDENTS WHO HAVE A FINANCIAL NEED AND HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE BESST PROGRAM. SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDE CSULB STUDENTS ASSISTANCE FOR EDUCATIONALLY RELATED EXPENSES WHILE COMPLETING THEIR DEGREE."
