THE OVMF FUNDS COSTS FOR YOUNG ADULTS TO PARTICPATE IN THE TELOS GAMMA PROJECT. THIS PROJECT IS AN INITIATIVE FOR YOUNG ADULTS THAT PROVIDES EDUCATION, RESOURCES, MENTORING, RETREATS, AND ONLINE WEBINARS TO EXPLORE AND ENERGIZE YOUNG ADULT ENGAGEMENT IN GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCHES IN THE METROPOLIS OF CHICAGO. FIVE PARISHES PARTICIPATE, WITH ABOUT 30 YOUNG ADULTS IN THE LEADERSHIP TRAINING.


THE OVMF INCURRED AND PAID EXPENSES FOR STUDENTS TO ATTEND CROSSROAD INSTITUTE IN CHICAGO, IL, BOSTON, MA AND SAN FRANSCICO, CA. CROSSROAD IS A TEN-DAY ACADEMIC SUMMER INSTITUTE THAT PREPARES HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS AND SENIORS TO MAKE BIG LIFE DECISIONS AND INVITES THEM TO CONNECT WITH THE ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN THEOLOGICAL AND SPIRITUAL TRADITION. PARTICIPANTS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY COME TOGETHER TO EXPERIENCE DAILY WORSHIP, TAKE THEOLOGY CLASSES FROM SOME OF THE BEST PROFESSORS IN THE COUNTRY. THIS CURRENT SESSION WAS HELD VIRTUALLY. THERE WERE 30 PARTICIPANTS IN THE CROSSROAD PROGRAM.
