LAPPS LEADS ADVOCACY EFFORTS FOR LATINOS BY RECENTLY COLLABORATING WITH THE ATLANTA PUBLIC SCHOOLS (APS) BOARD OF EDUCATION TO PASS THE FIRST LANGUAGE ACCESS POLICY IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA. ALSO, THROUGH THE CREATION AND AUTHORING OF ITS APS EQUITY REPORT-STATE OF ATLANTA PUBLIC SCHOOLS IS PRIME EXAMPLE OF SEEKING GREATER LEVELS OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND URGENCY TOWARD SYSTEMIC CHANGE WITHIN OUR OWN COMMUNITY.
