TO IMPROVE EDUCATION AND AWARENESS OF EFFECTIVE BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES. BECAUSE FARMERS ARE IN THE BEST POSITION TO DETERMINE THE PRACTICES THAT ARE MOST APPROPRIATE ON THEIR OWN FARMS TO ACHIEVE REDUCTIONS IN NUTRIENT LOSS, THE ALLIANCE WILL INCREASE PARTNERSHIPS WITH EXISTING PROGRAMS TO IMPROVE NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT AND SOIL HEALTH AND, ULTIMATELY, INDIANA'S WATER QUALITY.

IANA HAS BEEN LEADING EFFORTS IN THE UPPER WHITE WATERSHED TO COORDINATE MULTIPLE IANA PARTNER EFFORTS IN THAT GEOGRAPHY TO IMPROVE NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT AND SOIL HEALTH THROUGH A UNIFIED CAMPAIGN. THE CAMPAIGN, FOUND AT WWW.KEEPITMIDWEST.COM, IS TARGETED WITH RESOURCES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN THE UPPER WHITE WATERSHED, BUT IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE MESSAGING WILL BE ABLE TO BE UTILIZED MORE BROADLY ACROSS THE STATE. FROM AUG 2021 TO JULY 2022 THE WEBSITE HAD 9,000 VISITORS WITH NEARLY 18,700 VIEWS.
