EMPLOYING WOMEN IN MICRO-BUSINESSES AND AGRICULTURE ACTIVITES TO PROVIDE THEM SUSTAINABLE WAGES WHILE GENERATING FUNDING AND FOOD RESOURCES TO FEED IMPOVERISHED CHILDREN.

MICROBUSINESS EMPLOYING 19 FULL-TIME WOMEN. THE WOMEN WORK EITHER IN THE PRODUCTION OF HANDICRAFTS SOLD TO RAISE FUNDS OR IN THE THE FARM AND EGG PROJECTS AT THE MINISTRY CENTER. WOMEN LEARN SKILLS IN BUSINESS TO MANUFACTURE PRODUCT AND IN FARMING TO GROW PRODUCE AND OPERATE THE EGG FARMING PROGRAM. WOMEN ARE COMPENSATED WITH A PAID SUSTAINABLE LIVING WAGE AND BENEFITS INCLUDING SAVINGS MATCH, TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORK AND MEALS ON WORK DAYS.


PROVIDING DAILY MEALS AT 10 FEEDING SITES SERVING MORE THAN 1600 FOOD INSECURE CHILDREN AND ELDERLY. 13 WOMEN ARE EMPLOYED AS COOKS AND FEEDING SITE MANAGERS. FOOD IS PROVIDED THROUGH AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES VIA VEGETABLE GARDENING AND EGG FARMING AND IS SUPPLEMENTED WITH FOOD PURCHASED TO COMPLETE NUTRITIONAL MEALS.


SUPPORT PROVIDED FOR SPECIFIC NEEDS OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND THE LOCAL CHURCHES.
