THE PURPOSE OF OYSTER BAY COMMUNITY ROWING IS TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY ABOUT THE SPORT OF ROWING WITH THE AIM TO GROW AND ENHANCE THE SPORT. THE ORGANIZATON SHALL PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN OPPORTUNITIES THAT WILL CREATE ENVIRONMENTS AND PROGRAMS FOR WHICH ONE CAN LEARN MORE ABOUT THE SPORT. THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES TO FOSTER BOTH NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL AMATEUR SPORTS COMPETITIONS IN THE SPORT OF ROWING. THE ORGANIZATION IS CURRENTLY WORKING TOWARDS CREATING A COMMUNITY BOATHOUSE ON THE NORTH SHORE OF LONG ISLAND, AS WELL AS MANAGING THE PROGRAMS OF SEVERAL LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT ROWING TREAMS, FOR GRADRES 7-12.
