THROUGH COMMUNITY ORGANIZING, MOBILIZING, AND EDUCATION, SURJ EDUCATION FUND WORKS TO UNDERMINE WHITE SUPREMACY AND MOVE WHITE PEOPLE TO ACT AS PART OF A MULTI-RACIAL MAJORITY FOR JUSTICE.

A)DECARCERATION - SURJ EDUCATION FUND SUPPORTED A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT DIVESTING RESOURCES FROM HARMFUL SYSTEMS OF PUNISHMENT AND COMMUNITY SAFETY AND INVESTING IN ALTERNATIVE SYSTEMS. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDED SUPPORTING A NETWORK OF LOCAL GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS, AS WELL AS PEOPLE OF FAITH AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. SURJ EDUCATION FUND SUPPORTED LOCAL GROUPS ACROSS THE COUNTRY THROUGH COACHING, TRAINING AND EDUCATION. SURJ EDUCATION FUND'S FAITH PROGRAM PRODUCED A WEEKLY PODCAST AND ITS DISABILITY PROGRAM BEGAN BRINGING TOGETHER PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES TO LEARN AND TAKE ACTION FOR RACIAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE.
