THE HEALTH AND WELLNESS BENEFITS GAINED INCLUDE A REDUCTION OF STRESS, ANXIETY, AND PAIN, AND SENSORY STIMULATION THAT REFOCUSES THE MIND AND CAN IMPROVE COGNITION. SUPPORTED GARDENING IN A SAFE AND ACCESSIBLE SPACE PROMOTES INDEPENDENCE, SELF- SATISFACTION AND INCREASES SELF-CONFIDENCE FOR POPULATIONS SERVED, AND AT RISK FOR CHRONIC SOCIAL ISOLATION, INCLUDING SPINAL CORD AND BRAIN INJURY, STROKE, MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS, POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS, DEMENTIA, INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES AND OTHERS.
