LEARNING ENVIRONMENT:AN ASPIRATIONAL SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT LEADS TO HIGHER ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE, REDUCED TEACHER TURNOVER, FEWER DISCIPLINARY PROBLEMS AND HIGHER ATTENDANCE.


LITERACY:UNTIL 3RD GRADE, STUDENTS ARE LEARNING TO READ. BEGINNING IN 4TH GRADE, CHILDREN ARE READING TO LEARN. OUR MEMBERS ARE LEADING THE WAY TO IMPROVED LITERACY BY FOSTERING A RANGE OF TUTORING AND ENRICHMENT INITIATIVES TO ACHIEVE ON-GRADE-LEVEL READING SKILLS BY 3RD GRADE.


SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL HEALTH: A CHILD'S READINESS TO LEARN CAN BE SEVERELY IMPACTED BY THE CHALLENGES OF CHRONIC POVERTY AND THE EFFECTS OF TRAUMA. INTEGRATING SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL EDUCATION INITIATIVES CAN HELP TO REDUCE THOSE EFFECTS, LEADING TO GAINS IN ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT. THE ORGANIZATION IS COMMITTED TO DEVELOPING SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH WITHIN OUR SCHOOLS.


COMMUNITY ACTIVATION:THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES OUR NEIGHBORS WITH INFORMATION ABOUT THE SYSTEMIC CHALLENGES THAT EXIST WITHIN PUBLIC EDUCATION, WHILE SHOWCASING THE TREMENDOUS GAINS WITHIN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOLS; SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE NEEDED TO ADDRESS INEQUITY IN EDUCATION; AND ACTIONABLE PATHWAYS FOR ALL TO CONTRIBUTE TO OUR COMMUNITY'S COLLECTIVE SUCCESS.
