OVER 53 YOUTH, AGES 14-21, CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE OR FORMERLY IN FOSTER CARE ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN PEARLS AND EAGLES COURT PROGRAMMING IN 2023. 83% WERE PROMOTED TO THE NEXT GRADE LEVEL. 81% PROGRESSED TOWARDS STABLE AND PERMANENT PLACEMENT; 81% EXHIBITED IMPROVED STRESS MANAGEMENT; 98% CHOSE TO POSTPONE PARENTHOOD; 79% AVOIDED TOBACCO, ALCOHOL AND UNPRESCRIBED DRUGS. 100% LEARNED ADDITIONAL LIFE SKILLS TO BE MORE PREPARED TO AGE OUT OF FOSTER CARE. THE COURT PROGRAMS MET TWO TIMES PER MONTH AND HELD 4 WEEKEND ACTIVITIES DURING THE YEAR. COURT PROGRAMMING HELPS YOUTH TO VALUE THEIR WHOLE SELVES AND ENHANCE THEIR INHERENT STRENGTHS.
