PROGRAMS & INITIATIVES:TEEN HEALTH MISSISSIPPI IMPROVED ACCESS TO YOUTH FRIENDLY SEX EDUCATION AND MENTAL HEALTH CARE THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA OUTREACH (OVER 1M VISITS) AND PEER-TO-PEER EDUCATION. THM COORDINATED WITH SCHOOLS AND HEALTHCARE FACILITIES TO PROVIDE YOUTH-FRIENDLY REPRODUCTIVE AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES. THM DISTRIBUTED SAFER SEX KITS AND RESOURCE GUIDES FOR YOUTH FRIENDLY HEALTHCARE AND TEEN PARENTING. THM REACHED OVER 500 INDIVIDUALS THROUGH YOUTH EDUCATION AND AWARENESS AND DISTRIBUTED OVER 2,000 RESOURCE GUIDES.


POLICY & ADVOCACY:TEEN HEALTH MISSISSIPPI ENGAGED IN ADVOCACY EDUCATION FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS THROUGH MY COUNCIL AND MY SUMMIT. THM PARTICIPATED IN THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON ADVOCACY TRAINING FOR TEENS AND PARTICIPATED IN CAPITOL DAY AWARENESS FOR MS LEGISLATORS.


TRAINING AND EDUCATION:TEEN HEALTH MISSISSIPPI PROVIDED TRAINING ON MULTIPLE TOPICS, INCLUDING YOUTH-FRIENDLY HEALTHCARE, CHART AND K5 SEX EDUCATION, TRUSTED ADULTS, MENTAL HEALTH FIRST-AID TRAINING. THM TRAINED PARTICIPANTS INCLUDING 500 HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS AND TRUSTED ADULTS AND TEACHERS FROM 23 SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
