1. THE WAYWARD ARTIST WAYWARD VOICES PROGRAM SUPPORTED BIPOC PLAYWRIGHTS AND ARTIST WITH THREE PRODUCTIONS DURING 2023. FIRST SOLO, DUO TRIO FEATURED SOLO PERFORMANCES FROM TWO BIPOC ARTISTS. NEXT, IN COLLABORATION WITH BREATH OF FIRE, WE PRODUCED AN EVENING OF STAGED READINGS OF THREE NEW PLAYS BY BIPOC ARTISTS. LAST, WE FULLY PRODUCED WITH COSTUMES AND SET DESIGN, THE PLAY QUEER COUCH WHICH WAS WRITTEN AND STARRED BIPOC ARTISTS. SEVERAL HUNDRED PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN ALL THREE OF THESE EVENTS. 2. IN OUR EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE, WE OFFERED SUMMER CAMP FOR 4TH AND 5TH GRADERS IN JUNE OF 2023. THE WEEK LONG CULMINATED IN A SHOW PUT ON BY THE CAMPERS FOR THEIR PARENTS. NEARLY 40 CHILDREN BENEFITED FROM THIS PROGRAM. ALSO, DOZENS OF CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS CAME TO SEE PIRATES VS. LEPRECHAUNS, THE FIRST TYA SHOW PRODUCED BY THE WAYWARD ARTIST, WHICH WAS SUPPORTED BY A GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL. 3. LASTLY, ROTTERDAM WAS A PRODUCTION THAT SERVED THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY WITH ITS EXPLORATION OF A LESBIAN COUPLE WHO GRAPPLE WITH CHANGE WHEN ONE OF THEM DECIDES TO PURSUE LIFE AS A MAN. SEVERAL HUNDRED PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY ATTENDED THE 8 PERFORMANCES OF ROTTERDAM IN NOVEMBER 2023.
