THE MISSION OF SUNRISE MOVEMENT IS TO MAKE CLIMATE CHANGE AN URGENT PRIORITY ACCROSS AMERICA, END THE CORRUPTING INFLUENCE OF FOSSIL FUEL EXECUTIVES ON OUT GOVERNMENT, AND SUPPORT LEADERS WHO STNAD UP FOR THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF ALL PEOPLE.

TREKS - SUNRISE ORGANIZED FOUR MULTI-DAY TREKS TO CALL ATTENTION TO THE CLIMATE CRISIS. USING A VARIETY OF MEDIA OUTREACH TOOLS, THESE TREKS OF YOUNG PEOPLE OF COLOR IN CALIFORNIA, LOUISIANA, TEXAS AND PENNSYLVANIA CALLED ON PEOPLE TO TAKE ACTION FOR A CIVILIAN CLIMATE CORPS. SUNRISE LEVERAGED THE TREKS - AND THE ATTENTION THEY DREW - TO EDUCATE YOUTH ABOUT ORGANIZING AND MOBILIZING SKILLS TO FURTHER KEY GREEN NEW DEAL POLICY PRIORITIES.


CLIMATE MANDATE - THROUGH DIGITAL AND PRESS COMMUNICATIONS, MEDIAGENIC MOBILIZATIONS AND SPOKESPERSON TRAINING, WE MOBILIZED YOUNG PEOPLE TO PRESSURE THE CONGRESS AND THE PRESIDENT TO PASS AND IMPLEMENT AN AMBITIOUS, URGENT, INVESTMENT-FORWARD, ANTIRACIST, AND JOB-CREATING RECOVERY AGENDA TO ADDRESS THE CLIMATE CRISIS AND THE PANDEMIC, KEEP CLIMATE AT THE TOP OF HIS AGENDA, AND APPOINT CLIMATE CHAMPIONS TO THE CABINET.


GREEN JOBS FOR ALL CAMPAIGN - THROUGH DIGITAL AND PRESS COMMUNICATIONS, MEDIAGENIC MOBILIZATIONS AND SPOKESPERSON TRAINING, WE MOBILIZED YOUNG PEOPLE TO PRESSURE FEDERAL POLICY MAKERS TO PASS AND IMPLEMENT AN AMBITIOUS FEDERAL INFRASTRUCTURE PACKAGE TO HELP THE UNITED STATES ACHIEVE GREEN NEW DEAL POLICY PRIORITIES SUCH AS CARBON POLLUTION-FREE ENERGY, INCREASED INVESTMENTS IN RENEWABLE ENERGY AND CLEAN JOBS, A CIVILIAN CLIMATE CORPS, AND AN EARMARK OF SIGNIFICANT SPENDING TO BENEFIT BLACK, BROWN, INDIGENOUS, AND FRONTLINE COMMUNITIES.
