SUPPORTED MUTUAL AID LA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PEOPLE ORGANIZED FOR WESTSIDE RENEWAL. ORGANIZED VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST WITH THE DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD, MEDICAL SUPPLIES, AND OTHER BASIC ESSENTIALS TO HELP COMMUNITY MEMBERS IMPACTED BY THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC. FACILITATED THE OPERATION OF WWW.MUTUALAIDLA.ORG AND THE MOBILIZATION OF OVER 1,500 VOLUNTEERS TO SUPPORT COORDINATE GRASSROOTS PANDEMIC RELIEF EFFORTS.ENGAGED 250 TENANTS AROUND OUR HOMES GUARANTEE CAMPAIGN AND MOBILIZED THEM TO ADVOCATE FOR THE PASSAGE OF A TENANT ANTI-HARASSMENT ORDINANCE IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES.
PRODUCED AND DISTRIBUTED COMMUNITY JOURNAL KNOCK LA IN ORDER TO INCREASE AWARENESS AROUND THE IMPORTANT ISSUES FACING LOS ANGELES AND TO ENSURE THAT RESIDENTS UNDERSTOOD HOW THEIR CIVIC PARTICIPATION COULD ADDRESS ISSUES SUCH AS POLICING, HOMELESSNESS, AND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE.
