OUTDOOR EDUCATION ADVENTURES' (OEA) MISSION IS TO PROVIDE EQUITABLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR POSITIVE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES IN NATURE. THROUGH NATURE IMMERSION, EXPLORATION, AND DISCOVERY WE INCREASE SCIENTIFIC LITERACY, KNOWLEDGE OF OUR LOCAL NATURAL HISTORY AND ECOLOGY, AND INSPIRE ECOLOGICAL STEWARDSHIP IN OUR COMMUNITIES.

ELEMENTARY ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS SERVED 1876 CHILDREN AGES 5-12 ACROSS 134 DAYS THROUGH DAY CAMPS, SUMMERCAMPS, AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS, CLASSROOM LESSONS, AND SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS.THE PROGRAM'S OBJECTIVE IS TO PROVIDE HANDS-ON NATURE-BASED ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES WHICH GET CHILDREN LEARNING OUTDOORS IN NATURAL SETTINGS.


OUR PRESCHOOL PROGRAM SERVED 20 CHILDREN AGES 3-5 OVER 160 DAYS THROUGH A DAILY OUTDOOR EDUCATION PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM'S MAIN OBJECTIVE IS TO PROVIDE A SPACE WHERE CHILDREN BUILD SKILLS THROUGH A BALANCE OF EDUCATOR-GUIDED ACTIVITIES AND FREE PLAY FOSTERING EXECUTIVE FUNCTION MOTOR SPATIAL SKILLS COMMUNITY BUILDING CONFIDENCE.


TEEN ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS SERVED 51 YOUTH AGES 12-18 OVER 33 DAYS OF PROGRAMS AND SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS. THE PROGRAM'S OBJECTIVE IS TO PROVIDE HANDS-ON NATURE-BASED ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES WHERE YOUTH EXPLORE AND LEARN ABOUT THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND BASIC SURVIVAL SKILLS AND BUILD LEADERSHIP SKILLS WHILE MENTORING YOUNGER PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS.
