IT ACCOMPLISHES ITS MISSION BY RUNNING SUMMER & AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS FOR BALTIMORE CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE TOPICS ARE CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING (DESIGN THINKING), HOW TO MAKE & CREATE PRODUCTS (DIGITAL FABRICATION, SEWING, WOODWORKING, GRAPHIC DESIGN), AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP (IN TEAMS, STUDENTS FORM VENTURES).

DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR THE ORGANIZATION RAN A MULTITUDE OF AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS IN WHICH STUDENTS CONTINUED THEIR WORK, LEARNING AND VENTURES FROM THE SUMMER "BET ON BALTIMORE" PROGRAM. THE CURRICULUM FOCUSED ON DESIGN THINKING, MAKING AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
RAN A 5 WEEK SUMMER PROGRAM CALLED "BET ON BALTIMORE" THAT SERVED 80 STUDENTS ACROSS 6 PROGRAM SITES. STUDENTS LEARNED TO BUILD PRODUCTS & THEN LAUNCHED VENTURES FOR THE NEW PRODUCTS CREATED. OTHERS APPLIED CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING AND DESIGN THINKING TO BETTER UNDERSTAND SOCIAL ISSUES IN THEIR COMMUNITY, PROTOTYPE SOLUTIONS AND LAUNCHED VENTURES TO ADDRESS THE ISSUES.
DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR THE ORGANIZATION RAN A PROGRAM CALLED "MADE@DENT" IN WHICH YOUTH WERE PAID HOURLY TO DESIGN AND CREATE CUSTOM PRODUCTS TO BE SOLD TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS. STUDENTS CREATED CUSTOM NAMEPLATES, KEYCHAINS AND CARDS, LEARNING HOW TO BUILD A BUSINESS AND CREATE PRODUCTS AT SCALE, ALL, WHILE EARNING.
