THE CAPE COD MUSEUM TRAIL (CCMT) IS A VIRTUAL JOURNEY AND DIGITAL INITIATIVE THAT PROVIDES HISTORY-RELATED PRISM INTO CAPE COD LIFE AND CULTURE. THERE ARE SEVENTY-SIX EXTRAORDINARY MUSEUMS AND HISTORICAL CENTERS ALONG THE TRAIL SUCH AS HERITAGE MUSEUMS AND GARDENS, ATWOOD HOUSE AND MUSEUM, AND CAPE COD MARITIME MUSEUM. THESE MUSEUMS ARE DESIGNED TO INSPIRE APPRECIATION, UNDERSTANDING, AND STEWARDSHIP OF CAPE COD'S NATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND HISTORY THROUGH DISCOVERY AND LEARNING.

WHEN WE LAUNCHED OUR WEBSITE IN Q4 OF 2015, WE EXPERIENCED A 52% GROWTH IN PAGE VIEWS AND A 47% INCREASE IN NEW VISITORS TO OUR WEBSITE WHEN COMPARING 2020 TO 2021. OUR EMAIL NEWSLETTER HAS AN AVERAGE OPEN RATE OF 28% SURPASSING THE PREVIOUS 12-MONTH PERIOD BY 3% AND A CLICK RATE OF 3%. OUR NEWSLETTER INCLUDES JUST OVER 8100 SUBSCRIBERS. OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS CONTINUE TO SEE SIMILAR GROWTH PARTICULARLY ON INSTAGRAM WHICH SEEMS TO BE THE MOST POPULAR PLATFORM FOR OUR AUDIENCE. BY THE END OF 2021, 1754 FOLLOWERS ON FACEBOOK. IN OCTOBER OF 2020 WE LAUNCHED OUR INSTAGRAM SOCIAL PAGE AND HAVE ALREADY REACHED 1276 FOLLOWERS AND STILL GROWING. WE HAVE SEEN AN INCREASE OF 54% IN PROFILE ACTIVITY IN JUST THE LAST 30 DAYS. - RECEIVED THE MASSACHUSETTS TRAVEL & TOURISM RECOVERY GRANT FOR $24,950.- PARTNERED WITH CAPE COD COMMUNITY COLLEGE TO CREATE AN INDIVIDUALIZED CLASS FOR MUSEUM STAFF REGARDING VIDEOGRAPHY AND SOCIAL MEDIA.- LAUNCHED MONDAY AT THE MUSEUM PODCAST SERIES.- LAUNCHED MUSEUM MONDAYS IN MAY HIGHLIGHTING CAPE COD MUSEUMS AND WHAT THEY HAVE TO OFFER RESIDENTS AND VISITORS ALIKE. A GROUP OF MUSEUMS WILL BE OPEN THE FIRST FOUR MONDAYS IN MAY, FREE TO THE PUBLIC, FOR VISITORS.
