RESPONSIBLE BATTERY COALITION WAS CREATED TO ADVANCE THE RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION, TRANSPORT, SALE, USE, REUSE, RECYCLING, AND RESOURCE RECOVERY OF TRANSPORTATION, INDUSTRIAL AND STATIONARY BATTERIES AND OTHER ENERGY STORAGE DEVICES, AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF FUTURE BATTERY TECHNOLOGIES. OUR PRIORITIES ARE (1) TO PROMOTE LIFE-CYCLE MANAGEMENT REGARDLESS OF TECHNOLOGY, (2) TO ADDRESS CURRENT VEHICLE BATTERIES NOT RECYCLED EACH YEAR, AND (3) TO DEVELOP BEST PRACTICES FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF BATTERIES. A RESPONSIBLE BATTERY MEETS A SPECIFIC NEED EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY, IS PROPERLY MANAGED ACROSS ITS LIFE-CYCLE TO PREVENT HARM TO PEOPLE OR THE ENVIRONMENT, AND IS REUSED WHERE POSSIBLE AND ULTIMATELY RECYCLED.
