PRAISING EARTH IS A COMMUNITY DEVOTED TO REGENERATING HUMANITY'S ESSENTIAL PLACE IN THE WILD ECOLOGY. WE SPECIFICALLY EXPLORE THE NATURAL INTERRELATION OF SONG, STORY, AND RITUAL WITH LAND CARETAKING. ALL WORK IS DONE WITH GUIDANCE FROM ELDERS AND FROM THE LIVING EARTH.

PRAISING EARTH TENDS INTIMATE RELATIONS WITH TWO LARGE LAND BASES OF THE GALISTEO BASIN OF NEW MEXICO, ONE UP IN THE MOUNTAINOUS APACHE CANYON AND THE OTHER DOWNRIVER IN THE STORIED TERRAIN BETWEEN THE CERRILLOS HILLS AND THE ORTIZ MOUNTAINS.


FACILITATED BY JULIE M SATO MCLAUGHLIN, THE SONG CARRIERS SANTA FE CIRCLE IS A GROWING CULTURE OF SISTERHOOD THROUGH SONG, DANCE, AND RITUAL IN SACRED ALLIANCE WITH WATER AND FIRE. THE CIRCLE GATHERS MONTHLY NEAR THE NEW MOON. THE SISTERHOOD NOW INCLUDES COMMUNITIES IN AUSTIN, TX AND TUCSON,AZ GUIDED BY WOMEN INITIATED INTO THE SONG CARRIERS TRADITION.
