Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

ALL REVENUES GENERATED DURING THE YEAR ARE DERIVED THROUGH A 2% ASSESSMENT APPLIED TO HOTELS WITH 75 OR MORE ROOMS WITHIN THE DESIGNATED DISTRICT WITHIN THE CITY. TPID COMPENSATES CONVENTION GROUPS TO COME TO ARLINGTON VERSUS OTHER NEARBY CITIES AND MARKETS ARLINGTON DIRECTLY TO PEOPLE THAT ARE LOOKING FOR PLACES TO VISIT. BY BRINGING CONVENTION GROUPS AND TOURISTS TO ARLINGTON, SALES TAXES ARE RECEIVED FROM THESE GROUPS FROM FOOD AND BEVERAGE PURCHASES, HOTEL STAYS, TRANSPORTATION COSTS AND ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCES. TAXES COLLECTED FROM THESE NON-ARLINGTON GROUPS SAVES THE AVERAGE ARLINGTON RESIDENT NEARLY A THOUSAND DOLLARS ANNUALLY.
