TO TRANSFORM PIERCE COUNTY BY CONNECTING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND ADULTS-IN-TRANSITION TO THE OPPORTUNITIES AND ENVIRONMENT THEY NEED TO BUILD A BETTER FUTURE FOR THEMSELVES, THEIR FAMILIES, AND OUR COMMUNITY.

VISUAL ARTS CLASSES WERE SCHEDULED MONTHLY FOR HIGH SCHOOL-AGED AND ADULT STUDENTS; MOVING OUT OF COVID-19, THE PROGRAM THRIVED IN IN-PERSON CLASSES WHICH WERE TYPICALLY FULL. CERAMICS CLASSES RAN MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, AND THURSDAYS. DELANEY HILLS IS OUR WORKING ARTIST/INSTRUCTOR BROUGHT EXPERT SKILLS AND DESIGNED A DIFFERENT TOPIC/SKILL CLASS EACH MONTH. WE CONTINUED TO EMPLOY 2 PART-TIME INSTRUCTORS ASSISTANTS. WE ALSO RAN ONE PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS WHICH WAS ENTIRELY ONLINE. PREPARING TO LAUNCH CARDIAC MONITOR TECH JOB TRAINING PROGRAM IN COLLABORATION WITH VIRGINIA MASON FRANCISCAN HEALTH.AFTER COMPLETING A SUCCESSFUL CAPITAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN, WE STARTED A SIGNIFICANT RENOVATION OF THE OLD HOBBYTOWN BUILDING AT GARFIELD AND C STREETS IN PARKLAND NEAR PLU. FINALIZED ALL REQUIREMENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE FOR USE OF FUNDS APPROPRIATED FOR ARIVVA BY THE 2019 WA LEGISLATURE. COMPLETED AN AGREEMENT WITH BOE ARCHITECTS, PLLC, FOR THE DESIGN AND RENOVATION PLANS.CONTRACTED WITH JENNIFER WEDDERMANN ARCHITECTS PLLC FOR DESIGN ACTIVITIES. CONTRACTED WITH WA PATRIOT GENERAL CONTRACTORS AND COMPLETED PERMITTING REQUIREMENTS OF PIERCE COUNTY.
