FOUNDED IN 2016, THE SHOOTING STAR FOUNDATION IS A CHRISTIAN NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR EARLY-INTERVENTIONAL THERAPY FOR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO AGE SIX TO ENHANCE LIFE-CHANGING DEVELOPMENT DURING THIS CRITICAL PERIOD.

WE GIVE FINANCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO SELECT THERAPY PROVIDERS WORKING WITH CHILDREN AGE 0-8 WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS; TO HELP PAY FOR EARLY-INTERVENTIONAL THERAPY NEEDED TO HELP THEM REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL. BY ENHANCING THEIR ACCESS TO THERAPY AT A CRITICAL PERIOD IN THEIR DEVELOPMENT, WE OFFER CHILDREN THE BEST OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE IN SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND BEYOND.2021 KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTSWE PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS TO FOUR LEADING PROVIDERS OF THERAPY FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. 1) ST. DAVID'S CENTER, 2) FRASER, 3) GILLETTE CHILDREN'S SPECIALTY HEALTHCARE, AND 4) SUNNYDAYS THERAPYST. DAVID'S CENTER: DURING 2021, WE AWARDED 2 NEW SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS TO DAVID'S CENTER. WE EXPECT TO AWARD ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2022 TO ST. DAVID'S CENTER AND RENEW SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2022 FOR FAMILIES THAT STILL QUALIFY.FRASER: DURING 2021, WE AWARDED 9 NEW SCHOLARSHIPS TO FRASER.
