EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES-WE WERE ABLE TO SECURE TEEPA SNOW WHO IS A RENOWNED SPEAKER ON THE POSITIVE APPROACH TO CARE. WE ALSO SUPPORTED EDUCATION CONFERENCES IN SHAWANO COUNTY, OCONTO, AND BROWN COUNTY.MEMORY CAFES-WE PROVIDE FUNDING FOR MONTHLY GATHERINGS FOR THOSE WHO SUFFER WITH ALZHEIMER'S AND OTHER FORMS OF DEMENTIA ALONG WITH THEIR CAREGIVERS. IT IS A SAFE AND JUDGEMENT FREE TIME WHERE THEY CAN LISTEN TO PERFORMERS, DO ACTIVITIES, ART PROJECTS AND GO ON OUTINGS.DEMENTIA RESOURCE GUIDES-WE PROVIDED FUNDING FOR THE PRINTING OF DEMENTIA RESOURCE GUIDES THAT CAN BE USED IN CLINICS, HOSPITALS, AND AT THE LOCAL ADRC. THE RESOURCE GUIDE IS A VALUABLE TOOL FOR ANYONE TO EASILY ACCESS THE HELP THAT THEY NEED.THE FUND ALSO PROVIDES FUNDING FOR CAREGIVER BAGS. EACH BAG CONTAINS A FIDGET BLANKET, RESOURSES, BOOKS, AND SNACKS. THESE ARE AVAIALABLE FOR FREE TO ANYONE WHO REQUESTS ONE AND THEY ARE AVAILABLE AT LOCAL EMT AND POLICE STATIONS. THE FUND DONATES MONEY TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE DEMENTIA AND ALZHEIMER'S FRIENDS SUCH AS THE BRAIN CENTER OF GREEN AND THE ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION OF GREEN BAY.
