IN THE YEAR 2021/2022, OUR ORGANIZATION ACCOMPLISHED THE FOLLOWING:- WE SUPPORTED RESEARCH AND MONITORING EFFORTS IN SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES. THIS WAS IN CONJUNCTION WITH A FIELD COURSE TAUGHT BY DIRECTOR CHANTALE BGIN, WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA. SHELLBACK EXPEDITIONS BOUGHT SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATED WITH THIS COURSE. WE PREPARED A SCIENTIFIC REPORT OF FINDINGS FOR THE 2022 FIELD SEASON AND SHARED WITH PARTNERS IN THE GRENADINES. - WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY PREPARED FOR OUR OCEAN ROWING CAMPAIGN AND THE SALTY SCIENCE TEAM WILL ROW ACROSS THE ATLANTIC IN DECEMBER 2023, BRINGING US A LOT OF ATTENTION, MEDIA STORIES AND DONATIONS. SHELLBACK EXPEDITIONS SUPPORTED ALL SALTY SCIENCE ON-THE-WATER TRAINING IN FLORIDA, AND STARTED SETTING UP LOCAL BEACH/ISLAND CLEANUP ACTIVITIES WITH LOCAL YOUTH.
