THE PACIFIC NW CSA COALITION PROMOTES THE GROWTH OF COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE BY 1) CONNECTING CSA FARMERS WITH THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY, 2) SUPPORTING FARMERS THROUGH NETWORKING AND OTHER PROGRAMMING, 3) EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF CSA, AND 4) ASSISTING PEOPLE PURCHASE CSA SHARES WITH SNAP BENEFITS AND DOUBLE UP FOOD BUCKS INCENTIVES.

CSA FOR ALL: PNWCSA WORKS WITH FARMERS TO PROVIDE THEIR SHARES TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES WHO PURCHASE THEIR SHARES WITH SNAP. PNWCSA PROVIDES DOUBLE UP FOOD BUCKS INCENTIVES, A SNAP-MATCH PROGRAM, WHICH INCREASES THE AMOUNT OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES FAMILIES PURCHASE BY PROVIDING UP TO 50% OF THE COST OF THE SHARE.


OUTREACH AND EDUCATION: PNWCSA STRENGTHENS CSA IN THE REGION THROUGH EDUCATING PEOPLE ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF EATING HEALTHY AND SUPPORTING THEIR LOCAL FARMERS. WE CONNECT PEOPLE WITH FARMERS THROUGH OUR WEBSITE AND MATCHMAKING SERVICES. WE OFFER EVENTS, WORKSHOPS, EDUCATION, AND MARKETING TO HELP PEOPLE ACCESS HEALTHY SUSTAINABLY-PRODUCED NUTRITIOUS FOOD.
