FRIENDS OF RICHMOND COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOLS' PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT EXPERIENTIAL AND OTHER LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE STUDENTS OF RICHMOND COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL AND OTHER RPS SCHOOLS. WE PROVIDE PROGRAMS AND SUPPORT FOR STUDENT ACADEMICS CAREER READINESS PROGRAMMING COMMUNITY SERVICE EXPERIENCES SCHOOL CULTURAL AND MENTAL HEALTH INITIATIVES AND HANDS ON EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING PROGRAMS TO DEVELOP THE WHOLE STUDENT. THE NONPROFIT HELPS TO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AND TO BECOME INVOLVED GLOBAL CITIZENS. FOCUSED ON PROGRAMMING THAT SUPPORTS INDIVIDUALS FROM OPPORTUNITY CHALLENGED BACKGROUNDS,

PROVIDED TECHNOLOGY CLASSROOM SUPPLIES STUDENT PROJECT SUPPORT CLUBS AND ARTS PROGRAMMING TEACHER EDUCATION AND SAFETY SUPPLIES FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS.


SUPPORTED THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT MINI-MESTER PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES FOR COLLEGE CAMPUS VISITS AND SPECIALIZED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE ENGLISH MATH AND HISTORY THROUGH INTENSIVES SUCH AS CAMPING AND RESEARCH ON THE CHESAPEAKE BAY CIVIL RIGHTS IN ATLANTA GEORGIA AND FREEDOM US HISTORY IN PHILADELPHIA PA.


PROVIDED FOR PROGRAMMING IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE SUSTAINABLE URBAN AGRICULTURE SOIL AND WATER TESTING RESEARCH THROUGH THE ESTABLISHED COMMUNITY GARDEN WITH ADDITIONAL LEARNING EXPERIENCES WORKING WITH INDIGENOUS PEOPLES IN SOUTH AMERICA AND THE WHITE MOUNTAIN APACHE IN ARIZONA ON ISSUES RELATED TO WATER AND AGRICULTURE.
