TO PROVIDE COACHING AND MENTORSHIP TO THE COMMUNITY RELATING TO SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER.

NAVIGATING RECOVERY OF THE LAKES REGION ADVOCATES FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER, HELPS PEOPLE NAVIGATE AROUND BARRIERS TO RECOVERY, FACILITATES ACCESS TO TREATMENT AND RECOVERY RESOURCES, SUPPORTS THE COMMUNITY OF RECOVERY, PROVIDES PEER-TO-PEER RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES, EDUCATES THE COMMUNITY, AND PARTICIPATES IN THE DISCOURSE TO COMBAT STIGMA & DISCRIMINATION. CERTIFIED RECOVERY SUPPORT WORKERS MENTOR PARTICIPANTS ON THEIR PERSONAL RECOVERY WELLNESS PLANS, AND HELP THEM NAVIGATE BARRIERS TO LONG-TERM RECOVERY. WE HELP PEOPLE FIND EMPLOYMENT AND HOUSING, ASSIST WITH SUPPORT THROUGH THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM, AND WORK WITH DCYF TO HELP PEOPLE SEEKING REUNIFICATION WITH THEIR CHILDREN. RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES HAVE BEEN SHOWN TO INCREASE LENGTH OF RECOVERY, REDUCE OVERDOSES, REDUCE LENGTH OF RECURRENCE OF USE, AND IMPROVE OVERALL HEALTH & WELLBEING. DURING THIS YEAR WE ENROLLED 135 NEW PARTICIPANTS, FOR A TOTAL OF 726 PARTICIPANTS TO OUR PROGRAMS.
