THE MISSION OF THE BROWNVILLE CONCERT SERIES IS TO BRING PROFESSIONAL, LIFE PERFOMANCES TO SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA THROUGH 24-25 EVENTS EACH YEAR. THE PERFORMERS MUST HAVE SIGNIFICANT NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL REPUTATIONS. EACH PERFORMER IS REQUIRED TO DO COMMUNITY OUTREACH ACTIVITIES REACHING SEVERAL HUNDRED STUDENTS ANNUALLY IN THIS RURAL, UNDERSERVED AREA IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA, NORTHWEST MISSOURI, SOUTHWEST IOWA AND NORTHEAST KANSAS.

THE 2021-2022 CONCERT SEASON SHOWCASED 10 PERFORMERS TOTAL, 7 OF THOSE PERFORMING DURING THE 2021 CALENDAR YEAR. IN 2021 A TOTAL OF 17 SHOWS WERE PERFORMED AND INCLUDED CLASSICAL, JAZZ, BROADWAY & CABARET. THE ONLY PAID STAFF ARE 12 AREA HIGH SCHOOL OR COLLEGE MUSIC STUDENTS WHO WORK AS BACKSTAGE TECHS AND LEARN THE ROPES OF MUSICAL PRODUCTION, INCLUDING LIGHTS AND SOUND. THEY RECEIVE MINIMUM WAGE TO HELP PAY FOR COLLEGE AND FUTURE EDUCATION.
