CIRCULATED A CITIZEN'S INITIATIVE PETITION IN THE CITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF SHAPING LOCAL LAND USE POLICIES AIMED AT PRESERVING OPEN SPACE; RECLAIMING AND RESTORING DEGRADED LAND IN PACIFICA THAT WAS FORMERLY USED FOR MINING OPERATIONS; PROVIDING HABITAT FOR THREATENED WILDLIFE; BUILDING NEW, SAFE COASTAL TRAILS; AND BRINGING A HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER, COMMERCIAL AND OFFICE SPACE, AND A LIMITED NUMBER OF RESIDENTIAL VILLAGE UNITS TO THE CITY.
