PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY, LOW-COST VETERINARY CARE TO THE PETS OF LOW-INCOME RI RESIDENTS.

EXAMS, VACCINES AND DIAGNOSTIC TESTING - IN 2020, PETS IN NEED PROVIDED 2,798 EXAMINATIONS TO THE PETS OF LOW-INCOME RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS. PETS IN NEED ALSO PROVIDED 2,144 VACCINATIONS TO PROTECT THE HUMAN AND ANIMAL POPULATION AGAINST ZOONOTIC DISEASES, INCLUDING RABIES. DURING THE EXAMINATION OF EACH PET, DIAGNOSTIC TESTING IS OFFERED AT A REDUCED RATE COMPARED TO OTHER VETERINARY CLINICS. IN 2020, PETS IN NEED PROVIDED 2,409 DIAGNOSTIC TESTS SUCH AS BLOOD TESTS AND X-RAYS.


MEDICATIONS AND PARASITE PREVENTION - IN 2020, PETS IN NEED PROVIDED 82,083 DOSES OF MEDICATION INCLUDING ANTIBIOTICS, PARASITE PREVENTION, STEROIDS, AND PAIN MEDICATIONS.


SURGERIES - IN 2020, PETS IN NEED PROVIDED 185 LOW-COST SURGERIES INCLUDING SPAY/NEUTER AND VARIOUS SOFT TISSUE SURGERIES. DENTAL SURGERIES ARE A LARGE NEED IN THE COMMUNITY SO IN 2020 WE PROVIDED 61 LOW INCOME DENTAL SURGERIES TO PETS WITH SEVERE DENTAL DISEASE. IN ADDITION, THERE WERE 131 EUTHANASIA SERVICES PERFORMED IN 2020.
