BHNNY WAS CREATED TO PARTICIPATE IN NEW YORK STATES DELIVERY SYSTEM REFORM INCENTIVE PAYMENT PROGRAM (DSRIP) AS THE LEAD ENTITY OF A PERFORMING PROVIDER SYSTEM SERVING ALBANY, COLUMBIA, GREENE, SARATOGA, AND WARREN COUNTIES AND TO IMPLEMENT THE DSRIP PROJECT PLAN.

RESEARCH/EDUCATION PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PARTICIPATE IN NYS DSRIP PROGRAM AND IMPLEMENT THE APPROVED PROJECT PLAN. GOALS INCLUDE CREATING AN INTEGRATED DELIVERY SYSTEM TO MEET THE NEEDS OF MEDICAID AND OTHER ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS, TO IMPROVE CARE, CARE DELIVERY, REDUCE AVOIDABLE AND PREVENTABLE HEALTHCARE UTILIZATION, AND REDUCE OVERALL COSTS.
