BHNNY WAS CREATED TO PARTICIPATE IN NEW YORK STATE'S DELIVERY SYSTEM REFORM INCENTIVE PAYMENT PROGRAM (DSRIP) AS THE LEAD ENTITY OF A PERFORMING PROVIDER SYSTEM SERVING ALBANY, COLUMBIA, GREENE, SARATOGA, AND WARREN COUNTIES AND TO IMPLEMENT THE DSRIP PROJECT PLAN.

RESEARCH/EDUCATIONTHE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF BHNNY WAS TO PARTICIPATE IN NYS DSRIP PROGRAM AND IMPLEMENT THE APPROVED PROJECT PLAN. GOALS INCLUDED CREATING AN INTEGRATED DELIVERY SYSTEM TO MEET THE NEEDS OF MEDICAID AND OTHER ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS, TO IMPROVE CARE, CARE DELIVERY, REDUCE AVOIDABLE AND PREVENTABLE HEALTHCARE UTILIZATION, AND REDUCE OVERALL COSTS. NOW THAT THE NYS DSRIP PROGRAM HAS CONCLUDED AND ALL FUNDS FROM THE PROGRAM WERE DISPERSED, BHNNY IS INACTIVE.
