THE MISSION OF THE KENTUCKY INSTITUTE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES, INC. - A NON-PROFIT CONSORTIUM OF COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES BASED AT WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY - IS TO PROVIDE QUALITY EDUCATION IN AN INTERNATIONAL SETTING. GIVEN THE ONGOING COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN 2021, KIIS ULTIMATELY DID NOT RUN ANY PROGRAMS IN THE SPRING OR SUMMER OF 2021. HOWEVER, AT THE END OF 2021, KISS RESUMED ITS WINTER PROGRAMS BY SENDING THREE PROGRAMS ABROAD. THE PROGRAMS WENT TO GREECE, ITALY, AND MAYA. AS A RESULT, KIIS HAD SIGNIFCANTLY DECREASED REVENUES IN 2021.

THIS WINTER TERM STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM IN ITALY. THE PROGRAM HAD 21 STUDENTS AND 4 PROFESSORS. THREE COURSES WERE OFFERED IN THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS- ART & DESIGN- CRIMINOLOGY AND COMMUNICATIONS. THE DATE OF THE PROGRAM WAS 12/26/2021- 01/06/2022.
