EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: GREENWOOD PROVIDES CREATIVITY-BASED EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES FOR PARTICIPANTS TO LEARN ABOUT THE LOCAL ECOLOGY, CONNECT TO PLACE, AND DEVELOP SKILLS FOR SUSTAINABLY MEETING NEEDS. ALL PROGRAMS APPLY NATURALIST TEACHINGS AND CREATIVE ARTS TO HELP PARTICIPANTS BECOME RESPONSIBLE STEWARDS OF THE NATURAL WORLD AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. IN 2022 WE OFFERED EIGHT WEEKS OF IN-PERSON SUMMER CAMPS FOR CHILDREN AGES 5 TO 12 (230 PARTICIPANTS), TWO WEEKS OF CAMPS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR (80 PARTICIPANTS), AND TEN WEEKS OF TEEN PROGRAMMING FOR AGES 13-18 (20 PARTICIPANTS). GREENWOOD ALSO PROVIDED FREE ONLINE NATURE-BASED CRAFT EDUCATION.
