ECI SUPPORTS CHILDREN IN AFGHANISTAN WITH DISABILITIES WITH RESIDENTIAL, EDUCATIONAL AND INCOME GENERATION SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES.

Part 3 - Line 4a

ECI USA SUPPORTED SIX PROGRAMS IN AFGHANISTAN THAT PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT, AND HUMANITARIAN RELIEF, SERVICES TO CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES. THOSE PROGRAMS ARE AS FOLLOWS: 1) ECI SUPPORTED THE WINDOW OF HOPE ORPHANAGE THAT PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE CARE TO 27 ORPHANS AND ABANDONED CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES. 2) ECI PROVIDED IN-HOME EDUCATION TO SEVEN AMPUTEE CHILDREN IN NANGARHAR PROVINCE OF AFGHANISTAN. 3) ECI PROVIDED EDUCATION TO 50 STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES VIA SUPPORT TO THE ENABLED CHILDREN SCHOOL. 4) ECI PROVIDED FOOD PACKAGES TO 102 NEEDY FAMILIES AND WARM MEALS TO OVER 3,000 INDIVIDUALS IN AFGHANISTAN VIA THE FROZAN FUND PROGRAM. 5) ECI TRAINED 10 YOUTHS WITH DISABILITIES IN AFGHANISTAN WITH SOCIAL AND VOCATIONAL SKILLS VIA THE SOCIAL INTEGRATION PROGRAM. 6) THE NATIONAL PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN RAN THROUGH AUGUST, AND THEN WAS RE-DESIGNED INTO THE COMMUNITY-BASED DISABILITY AWARENESS AND SUPPORT PROGRAM, TO REACH FAMILIES AND CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES IN NEED WITH SUPPORTIVE SERVICES AND HUMANITARIAN RELIEF, IN SIX PROVINCES ACROSS AFGHANISTAN.
