IS ESTABLISHED TO SEEK, ACCEPT AND ADMINISTER CONTRIBUTIONS OF ALL KINDS TO HELP MEET THE CHARITABLE NEEDS OF RESIDENTS IN AND AROUND MADELIA, MINNESOTA, BY ALL APPROPRIATE MEANS, INCLUDING MAKING GRANTS, PARTICIPATING IN COMMUNITY PROJECTS AND STUDIES, AND PROVIDING RELATED CHARITABLE SERVICES TO ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS.

MADELIA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, INC. PROVIDED EMERGENCY DISASTER RELIEF TO BUSINESSES AND EMPLOYEES THAT WERE AFFECTED BY A CATASTOPHIC FIRE THAT DESTROYED A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF THE BUSINESS DISTRICT IN MADELIA ON FEBURARY 3, 2016. THE AID ADMINISTERED TO DISPLACED EMPLOYEES HELPED THEM SUPPORT THEIR FAMILIES UNTIL BUSINESSES AFFECTED BY THE FIRE RE-OPENED IN NEW OR TEMPORARY LOCATIONS. AID ADMINISTERED TO BUSINESSES WAS USED TO REBUILD AND RE-ESTABLISH BUSINESS ACTIVITIES. ALL OF THE PUBLIC SUPPORT RECEIVED BY THE ORGANIZATION WAS IN RESPONSE TO A CATASTOPHIC FIRE THAT OCCURED ON FEBRUARY 3, 2016 IN MADELIA, MINNESOTA TO ASSIST THOSE AFFECTED BY THE FIRE TO RECOVER FROM THE DISASTER.
