FOUNDED ON THE PRINCIPLE THAT ART IS A CATALYST FOR CHANGE IN THE COMMUNITY, CULTURE HOUSE IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING INSPIRATION AND MOTIVATION FOR THOSE WHO ENCOUNTER ITS POWER, EITHER THROUGH EXPERIENCE OR EVENTS. ITS MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A FUNCTIONAL ART SPACE FOR ALL TO ENJOY AND LEARN MORE ABOUT THE ARTS CULTURE THROUGH EXHIBITS, EVENTS, LIVE PERFORMANCES, AND ARTIST WORKSHOPS. THE VENUE EMBRACES ALL THINGS CREATIVE WITH ALL ITS BEING. WITH OVER 15,000+ SQUARE FEET OF SPACE AND MULTIPLE ROOMS TO HOST CULTURAL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES, CULTURE HOUSE WILL CONTINUE TO BE AN ACCESSIBLE ARTS ENVIRONMENT WITH MULTIPLE EXPERIENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES TO ENHANCE OUR VISITORS' CULTURAL PALETTE. HOUSED IN THE HISTORIC FRIENDSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH, BUILT IN 1886, THE FACADE SHOWCASES ANECLECTIC USE OF VICTORIAN AND ROMANESQUE ARCHITECTURAL STYLES COMBINED WITH GOTHIC REVIVAL AND QUEEN ANNE ELEMENTS. THE FACILITY WAS RE-IMAGINED IN OCTOBER 2012 BY ARTIST HENSE AND LATER RE-PURPOSED IN AUGUST 2013 AS BLIND WHINO. IN 2018, THE MUSEUM OF ALTERNATIVE ARTS, BEGAN DOING BUSINESS AS THE CULTURE HOUSE. CULTURE HOUSE WILL CONTINUE TO SERVE AS THE CITY'S MOST HIDDEN GEM IN THE ARTS AND CULTURAL COMMUNITY AND PROVIDE ARTISTIC GALLERY SPACE FOR ALL.
