IN ORDER FOR HAWAIIAN CULTURE TO THRIVE AND LIVE ON IN PERPETUITY, THE HEART OF THE CULTURE, THE HAWAIIAN LANGUAGE, MUST BE PRESERVED AND THE WAY TO PRESERVE THE LANGUAGE IS THROUGH THE KEIKI (CHILDREN). IN 2017, KIMOKEO FOUNDATION PARTNERED WITH PUNANA LEO O MAUI, A HAWAIIAN IMMERSION PRESCHOOL, AND THEIR SUPPORTING NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION, NA LEO PULAMA O MAUI, TO ASSIST IN THE BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SCHOOL IN ORDER TO INCREASE ENROLLMENT.
