THE WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING EDUCATION FOUNDATION IS A 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION FOCUSED ON SUPPORTING THE EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING NEEDS OF WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING CAREERS. THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION CURRENTLY FUNDS PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS THAT DIRECTLY IMPACT THE EDUCATION AND ADVANCEMENT OF MANUFACTURING WOMEN.

HALL OF FAME - THE WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING EDUCATION FOUNDATION'S (WIMEF) 2021 WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY & GALA WAS HELD ON OCTOBER 6, 2021, IN CLEVELAND, OH. THE EVENT HONORED NINE INDUCTEES WHO HAVE MADE OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO WOMEN IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY DURING THE COURSE OF THEIR ESTABLISHED CAREERS. THE EVENT HOSTED 151 ATTENDEES, WITH 105 PARTICIPATING IN PERSON AND 46 PEOPLE LIVESTREAMING.


VIRTUAL LEARNING SERIES - IN 2021 THE WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING EDUCATION FOUNDATION DELIVERED MONTHLY 60-MINUTE VIRTUAL LEARNING SESSIONS FOR THEIR MEMBERS. THE TOTAL OF 2,424 PARTICIPATED LIVE IN THE 2021 SESSIONS. LIVE ATTENDANCE INCREASED BY 138 PARTICIPANTS FROM PRIOR YEAR. ALL OF THE MONTHLY VIRTUALLY LEARNING SESSIONS ARE RECORDED AND AVAILABLE ON-DEMAND YEAR-ROUND BY MEMBERS. THE ON-DEMAND VIRTUAL LEARNING LIBRARY HAS HAD 878 DOWNLOADS TO DATE.


EMPOWERING WOMEN IN PRODUCTION PROGRAM - THE WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING EDUCATION FOUNDATION LAUNCHED THE EMPOWERING WOMEN IN PRODUCTION PROGRAM IN 2021 TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF WOMEN IN PRODUCTION OR SHOP-FLOOR ROLES AT MANUFACTURING COMPANIES. THIS POWERFUL PROGRAM'S GOAL IS TO IMPART CORE PROFESSIONAL SKILLS FOR SUCCESS IN MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENTS. THIS 20-WEEK COURSE IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THESE TALENTED WOMEN AND TO CONNECT THEM WITH PEERS IN THIS INDUSTRY, INTRODUCE THEM TO INSPIRATIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE INDUSTRY LEADERS AND PROVIDE THEM ACCESS TO INVALUABLE COACHING AND GUIDANCE AS YOU PLAN FOR YOUR FUTURE SUCCESS. THE INAUGURAL COHORT HOSTED 83 WOMEN FROM 16 UNIQUE MANUFACTURING COMPANIES.


LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE FOR WOMEN IN STEM AND MANUFACTURING - THE WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING ASSOCIATION (WIM) AND CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY'S WEATHERHEAD SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT, WITH THE GENEROUS SUPPORT OF THE WIM EDUCATION FOUNDATION (WIMEF), HAVE COLLABORATED TO PRODUCE THE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE FOR WOMEN IN STEM AND MANUFACTURING. IN 2021, 38 PEOPLE GRADUATED FROM THE PROGRAM. THE COMPREHENSIVE CURRICULUM INCLUDES TOPICS RANGING FROM NEGOTIATIONS, INFLUENCE, AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION TO MANAGING MULTIPLE LEVELS OF STRATEGY. MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - THE WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING EDUCATION FOUNDATION HELD THE MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IN 2021. MDP PROVIDES NEW AND ASPIRING SUPERVISORS, MANAGERS AND TEAM LEADERS, WHO HAVE THREE OR LESS YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, WITH TRAINING TO DEVELOP SKILLS THAT ARE NECESSARY FOR MANAGERIAL SUCCESS. IN TOTAL, 23 WOMEN GRADUATED FROM THE MDP.
