THROUGH THE ORGANIZATION OF EVENTS, DC IMMERSION RAISES AWARENESS ABOUT GENERAL AND SPECIFIC ISSUES RELATED TO ACHIEVMENT, 21ST CENTRY SKILLS AND DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAMMING. DURING THE 2015/16 FISCAL YEAR, DC IMMERSION HAS REACHED THOUSANDS OF DC RESIDENTS, INCLUDING PARENTS, EDUCATORS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS, THROUGH COMMUNITY EVENTS IN WARD 7 (ENTITLED LANGUAGES AS A PATHWAY TO OPPORTUNITY) AND WARD 1 (ENTITLED ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL VALUE OF BILLINGUAL EDUCATION). THROUGH THE PRODUCTION OF REPORTS, FACT SHEETS, ARTICLES AND NEWSLETTERS, DC IMMERSION INCREASES ACCESS TO AVAILABLE EXPERTISE AND INFORMATION.
