WITHIN OUR 2021 COHORT, ALL 53 SCHOLARS RECEIVED FULLY FUNDED ADMISSION OFFERS. OUTSIDE OF THE 2021 COHORT, WE HAD 8 BOARDING SCHOOL SENIORS WHO ARE NOW CONTINUING THEIR EDUCATION IN 4-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS, 3 STUDENTS FROM PAST COHORTS WHO SUCCESSFULLY RE-APPLIED THIS YEAR, AND 12 UGS JUNIOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN ADMITTED AT UK BOARDING SCHOOLS. THIS IMPLIES THAT THE CUMULATIVE ACCEPTANCE RATE FOR THIS YEAR (FOR THE 2021 COHORT AND OTHER STUDENT SUB-GROUPS) REACHED 100%.
UGS SCALING UP: 100+ MENTORS AND CO-MENTORS AS A PART OF OUR SCALING UP THIS YEAR, WE HAVE EXPANDED OUR MENTORSHIP TEAM TO 100+ VOLUNTEERS TO SUPPORT OUR COHORT 2022 AND UGS BOARDING SCHOOL GRADUATES APPLYING TO COLLEGES THIS YEAR. AS AN ADDITIONAL SCALING UP INITIATIVE, THE UGS JUNIOR PROGRAM SERVED 9 STUDENTS. THE PROGRAM HAS BEEN SLIGHTLY ADJUSTED THIS YEAR TO ALLOW MORE SPACE FOR TEACHING HOW TO SUCCEED IN PREPARATION FOR THE APPLICATION PROCESS AND INCLUDE A SUB-PROGRAM AIMED AT IMPROVING ENGLISH AND SAT MATH SKILLS. UGS JUNIORS HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THEIR INDIVIDUAL GROWTH PLANS, BROADENING THEIR READING HORIZONS, AND DEVELOPING THEIR INDEPENDENT PROJECTS.
SECURING INTERNSHIPS FOR 64 UGS STUDENTS WHO HAVE COMPLETED 69 INTERNSHIPS IN VARIOUS FIELDS, INCLUDING 37 INTERNSHIPS IN UKRAINIAN ORGANIZATIONS (BOTH ONLINE AND OFFLINE). NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WITH A FOCUS ON UKRAINE, VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH PROJECTS ATTRACTED MOST UGS INTERNS THIS YEAR. OUR STUDENTS INTERNED AT VERKHOVNA RADA, THE MINISTRY OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF UKRAINE, THE EMBASSY OF UKRAINE IN FRANCE, UKRAINIAN NATIONAL WOMEN'S LEAGUE OF AMERICA, RAZOM FOR UKRAINE, PRECORO, CIVITTA, REVENUEGRID, ENGIN, AS WELL AS AT GOOGLE AND MICROSOFT AMONG OTHER ORGANIZATIONS.
